Bikes For sale

We currently have this very original example of a 1979 Triumph T140D  Bonneville Special for sale.

Triumphs come to us in a wide range of conditions. Some have been absolutely neglected and/or butchered while others have had very easy lives. We have a saying, “A bike is as good as it’s previous owners.”
After 46 yrs this Bonneville Special is very fortunate to have had owners who did not decide to modify it in any way, who did not butcher nuts and bolts using incorrect tools and who obviously serviced it and looked after it.
It starts easily and runs well, and  is a great example of the last of the ‘genuine Triumphs’ made in the dying years of the Workers Co-operative.
Taking over the factory in 1973 the workers staged a sit-in that ended with a govt loan to purchase the Meriden factory and the rights to produce the Bonneville and it’s variants. By 1979 the workers had fine-tuned the basic bike they inherited into a very elegant and functional motorcycle and this is a great example of that.
